KOBRA is insurable again thanks to the new Fatbike Insurance
It took a while, but it's finally here! Starting in April 2024, the KOBRA Fatbike will be available for insurance again! Thanks to the unique renewed partnership between KOBRA BIKES, FRIS Opsporing, and a leading Dutch insurance company.
In collaboration with Fris Nederland, we're introducing an insurance package with an advanced track-and-trace option, including a tracking service. This means KOBRA Fatbikes can once again be insured against damage and theft! This development was achieved in close collaboration with a leading Dutch insurance company. This special KOBRA Fatbike policy is available starting April 2nd!

We've been busy lately, working hard to find a solution to the insurance problem. In response to the news that all insurers are discontinuing fat bike insurance, we didn't give up. Instead, we worked intensively to offer a new insurance option to our current and future KOBRA riders as quickly as possible. Throughout this process, we've held extensive discussions, and the results have been positive. Thanks to discussions with various insurance companies and investigative agencies, we've developed a robust concept that perfectly meets the needs of KOBRA riders. Through Fris's collaboration with the insurance company involved, KOBRA is confident that an attractive policy has been designed, which can be issued starting in early February.
KOBRA will offer an "Insurance Package" with the sale of our Fatbikes. What does this include? An ART2-approved lock , a KOBRA Fatbike Alarm , and a Fris Nederland smart tracker, along with the self-service tracking service. This ensures your Fatbike is well-protected, and should anything happen, the Fris team is ready to track your KOBRA at the touch of a button via the updated app. This, combined with the fact that KOBRA has received ILT approval and fully complies with Dutch law, means the insurance company has agreed to insure our Fatbikes again!
